If you’ve come to Key West for Spring Break, you’ve probably come to party. Key West is famous for its legendary anything goes nightlife. If you’re planning to hit the town, here are the places you can’t miss.
Sloppy Joe’s
Always a classic, head to Sloppy Joe’s for great live music and a raucous crowd on the dance floor. Expect anything from country to rock ‘n roll, and definitely a good time. This is the perfect spot to start your Duval crawl as it’s located at the foot of Duval Street.
Rumor Lounge
Next, swing by Rumor Lounge, next door to Captain Tony’s on Greene Street. This is a relatively newer hot spot and a much smaller bar compared to Sloppy Joe’s. It’s become a locals hangout and usually boasts a great DJ for a late night party.
Rick’s
If it’s a club experience with a DJ and a dance floor, Rick’s is it. This massive complex has more bars than you can keep up with and it’s always packed with party people looking for fun.
Lazy Gecko
Across the street from Rick’s is Lazy Gecko. A much smaller bar by comparison, this is also a great spot to get your dance on late night. It’s got a solid local crowd and DJs keep the crowd grooving.
Green Parrot
For live music one block off Duval on Southard and Whitehead, the Green Parrot is an amazing Key West bar that you won’t forget. Order a root beer barrel shot at the bar, play a game of pool or darts and snack on free popcorn while you dance to acts like Suenalo and Spam Allstars. If it gets too crowded, head to the sidewalk outside for some fresh air.
Dante’s
Who isn’t looking for a pool party during Spring Break? Well, Dante’s is your destination. This great party spot features a massive pool overlooking Key West Harbor, great drink specials, tasty grub and a live DJ keeping the party festive. If you’re not partying at Smathers Beach during the day, you’re partying here.
Live Music Sunset Sail
The best place to start your night in Key West is with a sunset sail. Head out with Fury Water Adventures aboard their Live Music Sunset Sail sunset sail with a live band. Dance on the deck and enjoy margaritas, beer, wine and champagne. There’s also a tasty snack spread to tide you over until dinner.
All Day Water Adventure
For a serious day of fun on the water, join Fury Water Adventures for their All Day Water Adventure. The trip’s a great value over Spring Break offering snorkeling, parasailing, kayaking and jet skiing. It also includes, breakfast, lunch and all you can drink. Now, how are you going to top that?
