1. Check Out the Key West Fishing Tournament
Whether you’re a spectator or participant, the Key West Fishing Tournament is great fun for all ages. Around 40 species of fish are generally caught during the 8-month long competition and prizes are awarded for outstanding catches. Anglers from Key West and other parts of the United States are encouraged to enter the tournament.

A local favorite, the Bahama Village Goombay Festival is a street festival featuring live music, delicious food and a variety of items for sale from vendors. The family-friendly festival celebrates the rich Bahamian heritage of Key West. The opening ceremony will be held on October 20th and marks the beginning of Fantasy Fest®.

Fantasy Fest® is Key West’s most well known celebration! From October 20th through 29th, take part in everything from the Royal Coronation Ball to the 5k Run to parties galore. Key West’s most popular bars and restaurants such as Margaritaville, Sloppy Joe’s and Waterfront Brewery throw special themed parties with great food and drink specials. 5. Witness the Smallest Parade in the Universe!
The Annual Smallest Parade in the Universe presents an incredible night for fun and creativity at The Waterfront Brewery! A miniature parade with floats crafted by the most creative people in the keys flows past an interpretation of Duval Street by Rick Worth. This event benefits the Monroe Association of ReMARCable Citizens, MARC, which provides life services to Monroe County’s adult developmentally and intellectually disabled residents.
