Annual Florida Keys Ocean Festival & Waterfront Craft Show
Come join in the fun at the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center on the Truman Waterfront! The Mote Marine Laboratory presents this family-friendly event annually. Admission is free, so don’t miss out on all the arts and crafts, educational activities and face painting for kids. Food, drinks and live music will also be included in the festivities.
Key West Artisan Market
The Key West Artisan Market is packed with local authors, farmers, artists, fresh produce, baked goods and craft beer. It is held the first Sunday of the month at The Restaurant Store and Cole’s Peace Bakery at 1111 Eaton St. This is a great event for families and those looking to be a part of local Key West culture.
Visit Smathers Beach for Spring Break
Smathers Beach is the hot spot during spring break. Visitors and even locals flock to this beautiful beach for some fun in the sun and daylong revelries. Be sure to pack your cooler with your favorite beverages, bring plenty of sunscreen and mingle with the out-of-towners looking for a good time. If you’re looking for a more chill time, head over to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, a quiet little oasis to enjoy some serious relaxation.
Annual Viking Yachts Key West Challenge
This fishing tournament is a blast for the whole family. It includes two full days of fishing, a pool party and BBQ, a dockside tournament for kids, prizes and more! Anglers target mainly sailfish, but there are categories for wahoo, tuna and dolphin as well. There are four Key West Marinas that will be used for dockage: Conch Harbor Marina, Key West Bight Marina, A&B Marina and The Galleon Marina. Six anglers per boat are allowed.
Annual Taste of Key West
The annual Taste of Key West is a fan favorite that draws both locals and visitors to the Truman Waterfront overlooking Key West Harbor. Attendees indulge in delicious food and wine samplings from more than 50 local restaurants and 100 wineries and vineyards. The festivities will be held on the Truman Waterfront Pier at the end of Southard Street. Old Town Trolley Tours will be providing free shuttle service from the Pier House. All proceeds go to AIDS Help, Inc.

This Key West celebration is a local staple featuring a hodgepodge of events during its 10-day stretch. Expect everything from eclectic car shows to raging music festivals to the wacky Bed Racers barreling down Duval St. Whatever day you’re there, you’ll be sure to find yourself in the midst of what Key West is all about: a good time.
